Behind the Chair

After working in the industry for several years, I opened my own salon back in 2007. I wanted it to be an environment where my clients could come to relax and be pampered. A place where they would leave their stressors at the door. We have fun here!

When working with my clients, I take into consideration their face shape, skin tone, and genetics to advise them on their hair and makeup options. Based on their lifestyle, personal preference, and budget we choose where to go from there. I also believe in homework tips. They are tips on styling that keep your hair looking the same at home after you leave the salon.

Now Indian Head Massage Therapy has grown in popularity and is now a popular massage therapy technique in its own right. Indian Head Massage, also known under the trademarked term Champissage, is an alternative medicine massage therapy in which the head, neck and Face and facial areas are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. Although there are many different personal techniques for Indian Head Massage, osteopath and massage therapist Narendra Mehta has formalized the therapy that he calls Champissage. Champi is the Indian word for "head massage" and is the origin of the English word shampoo.The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that are purported to cause ailments. The believe is when the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common ailments, including Stress,Pain and nociception pains and aches, and Baldness or hairloss.What does it involve?The client, fully clothed, sits in a chair for the treatment.
